I also recommend setting your MySpace to private. There are a lot of freaks out there, and also a lot of spammers. There are different levels of privacy settings as well. You can require people to know your last name or email address before they can add you as a friend, you can also require they fill in a capche before sending any messages or comments. That also helps reduce the spam. I also recommend changing your password monthly or so. My account got hacked into once, and it was a mess!
