i hate it when people make it out to be this dangerous site, because the people that get stalked by those creeps are the people dumb enough to either a) put private info on their profile, or b) actually talk to people they dont know and arrange to meet them.

well, i know what you mean it drives me INSANE!! you see, i have a myspace acount and it's private and i only accept friends who are people i know and i only talk to people i know. the internet is just as dangeras ANYWHERE. only the stupid people get hurt. don't put information that you don't want people to know who don't know you. i think myspace is a fun place for friends just don't be stupid and then whine! thanks for the venting space. lol

I agree 100%. Seriously, if you DONT want to be stalked or kidnapped - don't give out your personal information on the internet. Oh, and don't talk to people you don't know.

I have a myspace account and I think it's just fine. If you put things like your address and phone numbers and other personal info on there then yeah you are asking for trouble. It is really an excellent resource for things like opinions on little spoken subjects, pagan community contacts, and of course just hangin out with friends far away without the expense of traveling. just make sure you know who you are careful.

MySpace is too commercial and is on the decline for me. I prefer Facebook more because it cares about its users.
