Give her your password, and promise to be vigilant about what types of people you allow to be your friends. It worked for my 14 year old son, and if your mom is reasonable should work for you. The only way she allowed her daughters to get a MySpace account was to be able to have access to their accounts... this way, she could review all their messages and stuff they post to ensure that 1) they are not receiving any inappropriate messages and 2) that they are not posting any personal information.
