I have tried the security thing, but my dad says it really isn't secure. My mom belives there are too many perv's on there. I told them that if i have it on private, no one else can see it. Can anyone back me up here?

Well, I personally don't think myspace is that safe. Make sure you don't go behind your parents' backs, or you will lose their trust. Let them see one of your friends' profiles, and explain the whole 'private profile' thing to them. I hope it works out!

myspace really isnt that cool anyways .but if you want it then just tell them that you are mature enough and that you will do anything to earn there trust .also tell them that you will give them your password and they can check it whenever they want to .also tell them that they can pick and chose watever you put on there.most likey they will still say no because they dont want you looking at other peoples pages up on there.but hey its worth a try

Have your parents set up their own "myspace" so they can go to yours and see your comments and veiw your pcitures ect. thats what I do with my kids. I have my own "Myspace" so my kids can have their site to and I check it to see what people are saying. i also had my kids not put down where they really are or the real zip code.
