i have 202 friends. And i know people are online because when people change their status i can see it. So i know people are online. And its not because they changed their online settings because none of my friends online status is on private. What is the problem?

The same thing is happening to me and my friends, too, along with some other people. I think it's just a glitch, because when I checked my privacy settings, it said that people will still know when I'm online. But when I go on my page, I don't see an "Online Now" icon appear. Though last time I checked the online friends page, someone's display picture appeared. Sorry, I think we'll probably have to wait this out. Maybe the glitch will be fixed soon.

Because there is an option on myspace to hide you even though you are online.

your friends went to accound settings,then
privacy, and made it so that they show
online as hidden

Yup. It's an option under the Privacy settings. You can still opt to have a public profile but not show that you are online.

Idk, but my computer is doing the same thing. I'm just going to wait and hope it goes back to normal. That's what I usually do when it acts weird.

either the person your trying to view has blocked their online status in the privacy settings or your just on a slow computer who cant pick up on all the html at once...
