OMG plz help me!!! i want one sooooooooo bad!!! im a responsible, and a good student and everything...so it doesnt have to do with grades...im also almost 14...i not stupid and i would give some perv my info or anything....i would only tlk to my freinds....i would set it on private...also my freinds told me that u can set it so ppl can only add u if they kno yoour email or last name...is that true? PLZ PLZ PLZ help i really want one!!!! im like the only one who cant have one it sux so bad!!!

Myspace is great! Sorry that your missing out. Tell your mom that she needs to go and check it out for herself. Yes since your 14 the profile automatically is set to private, but you can make it where the people that want to add you have to know your name and last name and or email address. There is many ways to make sure some perv doesnt talk to you. Furthermore have your mom get one as well and she can check yours and read yours all the time. If your a good student making good grades then give her your password and she can get into at any time to make sure your doing what your supposed to be doing. Parents now days get worried and scared because of the stuff the hear on the news. Just bare with them. To your mom - myspace is nothing other then emailing friends that you KNOW reading your intrests and leaving people comments.

yes you cna set it to where peopel cna only add you if they know ur emial address or last name. you cna also set it to where you have to aprove all comments before they wil lshow up on your page. I would suggest that you nad your mom sit down and look at hte site, chekc out the FAQ's. theres a way parents can delete their kids profiels if they want to, let her know that if she sees something she doenst liek she cna delete it.

Ok heres the best way to prove its safe.

1) Tell her that most people that get cyberbullied on myspace werent following the right way to keep themselves safe.

2) You can put your profile on a private mode so that nobody can see your profile unless youve excepted them as a friend.

3) You can put your messages to friends only so that people you dont know cant message you.

4) You can allways block someone who is annyoing you by clikcing abutton on the page.

5) Any victims of cyberbulling wernt being smart on myspace and could have eaisly prevented it.

6) Tell her you will do eveything you can do to make it safe.

MySpace can be a great comunity for anyone who stays safe. So tell her that the chances of you getting hurt emotionally or physically are slim to none when you try to keep yourself safe. Good luck and I hope this will convince her.

I can understand why your mother does not want you to have a myspace page, there are many freaks out there any pages like myspace puts you out there for them to find easily. You mom is mature enough to handle them, you are only 14.
